Excitement is building for Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), the world's leading systems integration exhibition, which celebrates 20 years of innovation when it returns to Barcelona from January 30 to February 2. Registrations are open for ISE 2024, which promises to be its biggest edition ever, now expanding from commercial and residential audio, projectors, displays, digital signage, and unified communications, also with professional audio for performance, and lighting and stage technology.
Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) is the world's leading professional audiovisual and systems integration show. The annual event provides a unique showcase of technologies and solutions for commercial and residential applications, with an extensive show floor complemented by a five-day professional development program, conferences, keynotes and events that take place before and during the show. ISE is a joint venture of AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association and CEDIA, the global trade association for companies that design, manufacture, and integrate technology for the home.
Integrated Systems Events, the promoter of ISE is celebrating the 20th birthday of the show. Since its inception in Geneva in 2004, ISE has grown into a multi-industry-defining event, bringing together professionals from around the world. The journey from its humble beginnings in Geneva, in 2004, to becoming the mammoth event that combines professionals audio and video technologies with integrated systems disciplines for public spaces, buildings and the home has been a remarkable story of year-on-year growth. During this time, ISE has served as a catalyst for groundbreaking technological advances, fostered meaningful connections, and propelled the systems integration industry to new heights.
Commemorating this historic milestone for the show, ISE 2024 promises to be another highlight in the history of the event as the show now also combines the dedicated Digital Signage and Digital-Out-Of-Home (digital billboards) exhibition in a dedicate hall, and for the first time hosts a series of new exhibits welcoming the performance and stage industries that migrated from Frankfurt Prolight+Sound directly to ISE.
"Over the last 20 years, ISE has been at the forefront of audiovisual innovation, industry trends, and global collaboration," says Mike Blackman, Managing Director, Integrated Systems Events. "Our new branding reflects not only the evolution of our event but also our commitment to continuously push boundaries and shape the future of the industry. As we step into this significant milestone of 20 years of ISE, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to our community for its unwavering support, trust, and contributions that have been pivotal to the success of ISE. Together, we will continue to shape the future of pro AV and systems integration."
With the largest-ever show floor set across 65,000m², and with already more than 115 new exhibitors confirmed, ISE 2024 will offer a dynamic platform for manufacturers, integrators, distributors, and end-users, to engage in a comprehensive showcase of cutting-edge products, solutions, and thought leadership. Attendees can look forward to immersive demonstrations, insightful panel discussions, and unparalleled networking opportunities.
According also to Mike Blackman, ISE 2024 is already set to be the biggest yet, with an expanded show floor over 17% larger than in 2023, the opening of new halls, and a new flow for visitors that already expands to the entirety of the Fira exhibition complex. And in light of the problems of the previous year that caused gigantic lines out in the cold (yes, Barcelona is cold at this time of the year), Integrated Systems Events decided to drop the electronic-only registration and access control.
"Opening Fira Barcelona's North Access marks a significant milestone, reflecting the show's growth and enhancing accessibility for all. With three entrances and print-at-home badges, visitors can quickly access their preferred brands, Technology Zones, conferences, and show features, elevating their overall ISE experience," the promoters explain.
New for 2024, ISE has expanded into Halls 1 and 4 of the Fira Barcelona Gran Via. Hall 1 becomes the new home of Lighting & Staging, while Hall 4 provides a new location for Content Production & Distribution and allows the Multi-Technology Zone to be extended. The show floor is easy to navigate, set out across seven Technology Zones to provide visitors with the full spectrum of pro AV and systems integration required for every event and installation:
• Lighting & Staging (Hall 1)
• Residential & Smart Building (Hall 2)
• Unified Communications & Education Technology (Hall 2)
• Multi-Technology (Halls 3, 4 & 5)
• Content Production & Distribution (Hall 4)
• Digital Signage & DooH (Hall 6)
• Audio (Hall 7)
• Plus, ISE Sound Experience with Audio Demo Rooms in Hall 8.0
Once again, free travel within Barcelona will be available to ISE 2024 attendees. The scheme will operate in the same way as at ISE 2023. Inside the Fira, visitors simply need to show their badge (printed or digital) at one of the available desks and collect a four-day travel pass. This is valid on the day it is first used and the next three days. The pass can be used on all metro and bus services within Barcelona, including to the airport.
Opening hours will be 10:00 – 18:00 from Tuesday to Thursday, and 10:00 – 16:00 on Friday 2.
