AUDIO Cu is a patented home audio solution that delivers audio data over power lines, eliminating the need to run speaker wires from an AVR to speakers or subwoofers. Fasetto developed a series of AUDIO Cu transmitters and receivers that are particularly useful for Dolby Digital and Dolby Atmos home cinema applications, with speakers positioned in the rear, on the walls and ceiling.
The Fasetto AUDIO Cu solution is compatible with virtually all makes and models of current wired speakers out on the market, and delivers full high resolution, Dolby Digital or Dolby Atmos sound using the electrical wiring in the home. Using a dedicated control app that works on Apple and Android mobile devices, AUDIO Cu allows users to adjust system settings quickly, configuring the entire audio system by utilizing a variety of audio presets and listening modes. The solution also allows users to have multiple different home audio theater systems simultaneously with a total speaker and subwoofer count of up to thirty-two (32) different channels inside one (1) household.
Fasetto, Inc., was founded in 2013 and is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, with an office in Tustin, California and manages a broad portfolio of intellectual property containing over 200 worldwide patents. Now the company announced that it received Dolby Atmos Product Certification from Dolby Laboratories, for its AUDIO Cu solution - the first of its type for a sound over powerline solution.
Before a company sells products containing Dolby intellectual property, it is required to have the products registered, tested, and their designs approved by Dolby Laboratories. Dolby Laboratories evaluated Fasetto's AUDIO Cu sound over power line home audio solution and confirmed the certification. The Dolby Atmos Product Certification enables Fasetto to legally sell its AUDIO Cu solution as a Dolby certified product.
"Dolby Atmos® Product Certification marks a major milestone for Fasetto and our AUDIO Cu sound over the power lines home audio solution. AUDIO Cu also marks a major milestone in audio connectivity, sound engineering and simplicity. Users can now experience high fidelity Dolby certified Dolby Digital and Dolby Atmos audio through speakers or subwoofers connected across power lines with minimal latency and exceptional sound performance. This enables users to place and connect their home audio system through power lines wherever they wish without the hassle of cumbersome speaker wires or worrying about structural and RF interference. It's extremely superior to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and WiSA based audio solutions that are currently available," sats Coy Christmas, Fasetto founder and CEO.
"RT-RK has been a proud early adopter and supporter of the Dolby Atmos immersive audio format from its inception in 2012. Recently, we worked closely with Fasetto's exceptional engineering team, whose unique intellectual property includes delivering pristine and low-latency audio over existing power line infrastructure. The end result is AUDIO Cu, which revolutionizes the immersive audio market in so many different ways. Now, having obtained Dolby Atmos product-level certification, AUDIO Cu is ready to hit the audio market with full force. RT-RK’s engineering team is proud to have been a partner on this exciting journey that market innovators like Fasetto are creating," adds Miroslav Dokic, vice president of business development, RT-RK, the embedded software development company specializing in consumer electronics and infotainment systems.
Although many solutions are available for distribution of data and home networking over power lines, including for carrying audio signals, Fasetto claims to be the only company that has overcome all the obstacles of moving data cleanly over power lines in all environments, a feat that the company spent many years working to achieve.
The Dolby-certified AUDIO Cu solution empowers consumers and integrators to have an affordable audio option that decodes audio on the fly to flawlessly match the source material to the speaker system configuration. AUDIO Cu can detect noise or interference on the power lines to determine the best way to send the packets of audio to each speaker or subwoofer without any packet loss or latency, providing optimal sound quality. Up to 10 channels per audio system can be setup in any configuration up to 9.1 channels and Dolby Atmos up to 7.1.2.
