February 26 2021, 00:20
EPOS, the Danish enterprise and gaming audio brand spun out of Sennheiser, launched the ADAPT Series of affordable headsets engineered for todays professional and hybrid environments. The new ADAPT 100 Series improves on audio quality aimed at boosting concentration and ensuring seamless communications with flexible, UC-optimized headsets featuring EPOS Voice and a noise-cancelling microphone to optimize speech and enhance calls, also available with and without active noise cancellation (ANC).

The emerging hybrid workforce is facing new challenges that demand new solutions from audio devices. The ADAPT 100 Series is built specifically to address these needs, with smart audio technology to ensure uncompromised performance both on the go or in the office. Designed to meet these new challenges with plug and play device connectivity, the EPOS ADAPT 100 headset series is built for all day comfort, featuring large on-ear leatherette or foam earpads, and an ergonomic, lightweight design with a discreet boom arm that folds away neatly into the headband

"If we’ve learned anything over the past year it’s that we’re adaptable, flexible and resilient when it comes to doing business. Beyond that we’ve found great value in having high quality audio solutions available to us, and we’ve seen that many global organizations have recognized audio as a key enabler of business continuity. That’s why we’ve designed the ADAPT 100. It’s a device series that’s developed with today’s hybrid workforce in mind. Lightweight and crafted for all day comfort it enables users to collaborate seamlessly no matter their location," says Jesper Kock, EPOS Vice President, Research and Development.

The ADAPT 100 Series uses EPOS Voice technology with a noise-cancelling microphone to optimize the user’s voice and enhance their calls, and integrated EPOS ActiveGard technology protects users against acoustic injury caused by sudden sound bursts on the line. The series is also equipped with cross-functional capabilities to simultaneously enable a superior listening experience, free from disruption – allowing it to meet increasingly overlapping personal and business needs.

The series includes Microsoft Certified and UC optimized variants with or without ANC so users can block out noise disturbances instantly and take calls wherever they go. The ANC variants effectively block out distracting noises in the office or anywhere, instantly. And users can choose between UC optimized and Teams Certified variants for office integration, allowing to jump straight into a Microsoft Teams meeting with a dedicated Teams’ button.

To meet the increased need for collaboration and to improve user workflow, variants of the ADAPT 100 Series have been optimized for Unified Communications (UC) and are available with or without ANC, and with or without dedicated Microsoft Teams button. There are mono and stereo models with single sided and double sided headbands, and a choice of 3.5 mm jack, USB-A and USB-C connectors. Prices for the ADAPT 100 series range between $45 to $155 USD (MSRP).

With headquarters in Copenhagen, EPOS is a Danish company, part of the Demant Group – a leading audio and hearing technology group with more than 115 years of experience. EPOS resulted from the decision to let the business segments of the former joint venture – known as Sennheiser Communications – between Sennheiser Electronic GmbH & Co. KG and Demant A/S to evolve in different set-ups. Alongside the introduction of a new own-branded portfolio, EPOS continues to sell the current Sennheiser Communications portfolio co-branded as EPOS | Sennheiser.
