Swedish digital audio pioneer Dirac confirmed that its sound optimization solution is featured in the all-new Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC earphones, officially available since August 2, 2021. As detailed by audioXpress in previous articles, with the inclusion of Dirac’s technology, the new Klipsch true wireless ANC design allows consumers to enjoy more balanced sound and enhanced clarity regardless of the playback device or the quality of their content.
According to the companies, the combination of premium hardware and cutting-edge sound optimization software creates the best possible headphone sound experience for consumers. "The inclusion of the Dirac sound optimization solution in Klipsch’s T5 II ANC earphones is further evidence of our commitment to collaborating with leading brands to level-up the performance of their hardware with patented technologies,” says Lars Isaksson, Dirac’s Head of Business Development, Streaming & Headphones.
"Regardless of hardware quality, the addition of cutting-edge software elevates performance to new levels. The T5 II underscores this truth, and we look forward to continued collaboration with Klipsch on future projects that push the boundaries of sound."
Dirac’s sound optimization solution corrects the impulse and frequency response of any headphone to upgrade its musical staging, clarity, voice intelligibility, and bass fidelity. Integrated into the earphones’ Bluetooth chipset, the solution also enables users to experience Dirac-optimized sound regardless of streaming device, media player, or content source.
For this project, the Dirac and Klipsch engineering teams collaborated closely to tailor and customize Dirac’s sound optimization solution specifically to the design hardware, in order to ensure peak performance and a maximum degree of audio upgrade.
“Klipsch enthusiasts have come to expect a luxury audio experience, made possible by cutting-edge engineering and innovation,” says Vlad Grodzinskiy, Senior Product Manager at Klipsch. “With Dirac’s sound optimization solution integrated directly into our T5 II True Wireless ANC earphones, we’ve set the bar even higher and ensured new and existing Klipsch customers enjoy the best sound available."
In addition to Dirac’s sound optimization solution, the new Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC and T5 II True Wireless ANC McLaren Edition earphones feature dual-microphone noise cancellation; a built-in Bragi operating system with embedded artificial intelligence for hands-free, gesture-controlled experiences; wireless charging through any Qi-compatible charging pad; and up to 7 hours of in-use battery life (up to 5 hours with ANC).
Beyond the company’s work in the headphone market, Dirac’s patented technology also enhances audio for mobile, gaming, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, streaming, automotive, home and professional audio. Dirac's audio tools for signal processing are used in products from the world’s most respected brands, including Rolls Royce, Volvo, Polestar, BMW, BYD, Harman, Datasat, NAD, ASUS, and OPPO bring the Dirac sound experience to their customers. Headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden, Dirac has offices in Shenzhen, Beijing, and Shanghai, China; a Research & Development facility in Copenhagen, Denmark; and representation in Germany, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and the USA.
