Bragi Joins STMicroelectronics Partner Program with Bragi Intelligent Edge

Bragi announced its inclusion in ST Microelectronics Partner Program to create software solutions that address the current needs for modern IoT development, granting shorter development time as well as reducing the time and cost to market. Bragi offers state-of-the-art configurable, scalable, and power-efficient software building blocks of its Intelligent Edge computing platform, combined with products, technologies, and solutions from ST.

Only a couple of months after Bragi introduced Bragi NanoAI and Bragi Intelligent Edge at Mobile World Congress 2018 as a new business line focused on services and solutions, the company now announced its inclusion in the STMicroelectronics Partner Program to make software solutions that address the current needs for modern IoT development accessible to clients who want to join the early phase of the roll-out.

STMicroelectronics, created the ST Partner Program to speed customer development efforts by identifying and highlighting to them companies with complementary products and services. Moreover, the program’s certification process assures that all partners are periodically vetted for quality and competence.

In 2018, Bragi introduced a new business focused on services and solutions with the presentation of Bragi nanoAI and Bragi
Intelligent Edge. This approach dates back to Bragi The Dash, which was designed as a development platform for Bragi Intelligent Edge. Twenty-seven different embedded sensor streams coupled with an onboard storage, enabled Bragi to fast track the development of Bragi Intelligent Edge in real life environments.

Bragi’s main commercial product, The Dash Pro, has boldly proven the concepts that underpin Bragi nanoAI, BragiOS, and BragiNET. These advanced technologies have been matured into an hardware platform independent suite of technologies ready for deployment in wide ranging areas from general consumer electronics, to industrial or healthcare monitoring and recreational activities.

Bragi Intelligent Edge is a single platform incorporating 3 different features: NanoAI/BragiOS/BragiNet.

Bragi nanoAI is a comprehensive software suite for rapid development and deployment of efficient, machine learning based algorithms for embedded, ultra-low power devices. This covers all domains: data acquisition/manipulation, model/feature setups, training and continuous performance evaluation, code generation. Bragi nanoAI supports various machine learning paradigms from neural networks to probabilistic models, from offline-trained algorithms to online learning on embedded devices with a strong focus on time-series sensor data.

BragiOS is an embedded operating system written in portable C99 that provides access to highly configurable machine learning, advanced mathematics and statistical operations on tiny devices. It comes with an advanced toolchain for configuration of applications and the debugging and deployment of devices. The behavior of the device is controlled by a JSON configuration file which can be updated at any time to modify the device behavior. 

BragiNET provides devices running BragiOS with highly abstracted network access. Any transport layer, such as BLE, Zigbee, NFMI or WiFi can be adapted to give applications on BragiOS devices access to other Bragi devices, smartphones or cloud hosted services: peer-to-peer, forwarded within a meshed network or through a remote server backend infrastructure. |
