Following a previous collaboration with Cisco to design the 980 headset, Danish brand Bang & Olufsen now created the Cisco 950 wireless earbuds, based on the Beoplay EX, but equipped with features critical for today's hybrid workforce, including enhanced security and device management for IT teams in companies that don't allow bring-your-own devices. The Bang & Olufsen Cisco 950 wireless earbuds can seamlessly interoperate and are optimized for Webex Meetings and Calling.

Webex by Cisco is a cloud-based collaboration solution which includes video meetings, calling, messaging, events, polling, asynchronous video and integration with contact centers and purpose-built collaboration devices. These solutions are underpinned with security and privacy by design and work with the world's leading business and productivity apps – delivered through a single application and interface.

For users who want to benefit from high-fidelity audio, superior comfort and fit, a wide choice of codecs, but unfortunately work in companies that restrict device use for business to those systems approved by the security and IT departments, Bang & Olufsen now comes to the rescue with the Bang & Olufsen Cisco 950 wireless earbuds.

This is a continuation of the partnership between Cisco and Bang & Olufsen, this time to create new true wireless earbuds built with enterprise-grade features customized for professionals on-the-go. The Bang & Olufsen Cisco 950 delivers a high-end aesthetic and premium sound combined with advanced security and manageability features.

As hybrid work continues to enable flexibility in how and where people work, the Bang & Olufsen Cisco 950 enables crystal-clear audio for seamless collaboration from any setting. The earbuds are fully manageable in Cisco's Control Hub platform, giving IT departments greater visibility and control over their entire fleet of collaboration devices and peripherals.

"As businesses continue to embrace the flexibility of hybrid work, employees need professional-grade tech solutions that enable work from any setting," says Snorre Kjesbu, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Webex Devices at Cisco. "We're excited to expand our partnership with B&O to deliver exceptional audio experiences with extensive functionality and timeless design and craftsmanship."

"We're excited to expand our partnership with Cisco to deliver the Bang & Olufsen Cisco 950," adds Duncan McCue, Vice President Business Development & Strategic Partnerships, Bang & Olufsen. "Equipped with Cisco's advanced features for secure collaboration and Bang & Olufsen's unparalleled capabilities in sound innovation and design, these earbuds are perfect for hybrid workers who want immersive audio experiences."

The new Bang & Olufsen Cisco 950 true wireless earbuds provide an elevated user experience with long battery life, Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation, in-ear voice notifications, on-ear controls and Bluetooth 5.2 for quick pairing. Being optimized for Webex, the earbuds pair perfectly with other Cisco collaboration devices, with call controls and prioritization for calling and meetings. The earbuds are also platform agnostic and able to quickly and simultaneously pair with both Android and iOS devices without compromising sound quality. In fact, users can connect on the go to up to 2 devices that support Bluetooth, and a Microsoft Windows laptop using a USB dongle.

To enable crystal clear communications the Bang & Olufsen Cisco 950 have 6 geometrically placed microphones that isolate the user's voice and cancel out background noise using advanced algorithms from Alango Technologies. The minimalistic wearing style also makes listening to music or calls comfortable and effortless, with support for AAC and Qualcomm aptX Adaptive. The Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation feature automatically adjusts the level of ANC based on the user surroundings, with on-ear controls available to quickly mute, pause/play or change songs, adjust volume, and more.

Featuring hardware and software protection to help communications stay secure, the Bang & Olufsen Cisco 950 can be managed together with all other Cisco devices to deploy, monitor, push new firmware, and troubleshoot issues. IT admins can easily maintain and securely update the device in Webex's Control Hub, the central dashboard for Cisco Collaboration Devices and Webex services. They can also get valuable insights on device inventory and utilization, to help maximize their return on investment.

The Bang & Olufsen Cisco 950 earbuds ship with four sets of silicon tips and one pair of foam tips for comfort and fit based on preference. Available starting in November 2023.
