AIAIAI Introduces Updated TMA-2 Move Bluetooth Headphones

September 21 2021, 00:35
Imagine having headphones that could be wired or wireless and that you could update with the latest wireless technology simply by replacing the headband. The modular concept designed by Danish manufacturer AIAIAI for the TMA-2 headphones allows exactly that. And also allows offering new standard configurations to the market any time there is a technology update as they do regularly. The new TMA-2 Move Wireless and Move XE Wireless headphones with Bluetooth 5.0 are the two latest examples.

As AIAIAI just unveiled, the new TMA-2 Move Wireless and Move XE Wireless headphones feature Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity an offer 40+ hours of battery life, adding a new ‘intuitive joystick’ single-button control, and the brand's signature durable materials. All that, while also featuring the company's latest 40mm bio-cellulose speaker diaphragms and benefiting from a plethora of other options and replacement parts that AIAIAI users can order any time.

The Move range is a Bluetooth extension of AIAIAI's popular TMA-2 headphones - built from the company's decade-long development experience in products originally designed for music professionals that are also coveted lifestyle icons. The two latest models are premium Bluetooth headphones with the same acclaimed sound performance from the company's wired professional TMA-2 Studio line, balancing punchy bass and a clear, highly detailed representation.

When wireless clearly became a trend, AIAIAI immediately offered a Bluetooth headband option for the TMA-2 modular concept. But unlike the durable parts in AIAIAI's headphones, Bluetooth systems require updates whenever a better Bluetooth radio transmission module is available, a battery technology allows improving playback time, or a new technology comes along, allowing faster charging, as it happens now with USB-C charging. All those things are combined in the new Move Wireless headphones.

For anyone still looking to buy their first TMA-2 headphones, and those looking for another pair to use outside the studio environment, the new TMA-2 Move Wireless and TMA-2 Move XE Wireless headphones are a perfect option, in either a circumaural or a lighter on-ear format, respectively.

The TMA-2 basic design is extended in these Move models fitted with a Bluetooth 5.0 headband, creating two comfortable and sturdy wireless headphone options for music enthusiasts, but developed with music creators in mind. Both models are still part of the TMA-2 modular headphone system, renowned for its sturdy build, responsible design, and designed to last.

The TMA-2 Move Wireless model offers the same form-factor available in the professional TMA-2 Studio line, supporting +40 hours of playback time (twice the battery duration of the previous generation) from any Bluetooth source device, with USB-C fast charging for 3h of playback time in 20 min, and 0-100% in 2h. Being wireless, the headphones still support an analog cable input when needed. Differentiating the TMA-2 Move Wireless  are the two highly comfortable vegan leather earpads, providing enhanced isolation.

The TMA-2 Move XE Wireless headphones are the smaller and lightweight over-ear version with Bluetooth 5.0, +40 hours of playback, and highly comfortable, eco-friendly Repreve earpads - a soft and comfortable performance material for low isolation and reduced warmth, made from high quality fibers from recycled materials including plastic bottles. The signature sound remains the same, and the design includes intuitive multi-functional joystick controls on the back of the right-side earcup. Dual mics allow for improved voice quality and clarity by filtering out background noise.

The drivers in both TMA-2 Move Wireless headphone models feature a bio-cellulose diaphragm, which is stiffer, lighter and stronger than regular PET designs, allowing higher levels of reproduction with lower levels of harmonic distortion. The bio-cellulose speaker diaphragm is made of a bacterial cellulose, an organic compound grown using certain types of bacteria. This is a renewable and biodegradable material, with great acoustic properties. These diaphragms are combined with a high grade neodymium magnet, resulting in drivers with a clear mid-range, better dynamics, and a more natural overall tonality. AIAIAI tunes the TMA-2 Move headphones for consistency with other wired models.
