Applications with space constraints will benefit also from the small 4x4mm package options. The PIC32MM devices include core independent peripherals, designed to offload the CPU for lower power and flexible system design, such as Configurable Logic Cells (CLC) and Multiple-output Capture Compare PWMs (MCCPs) which help enable sensorless BLDC motor control applications.

Between May and October this year, Futuresource Consulting interviewed more than 8,000 people about their intent to buy wearable technology and saw a significant increase in the intent to purchase. There was a 50% increase in intention to buy fitness trackers and a 125% increase in intention to buy smartwatches.
