Smart home devices, wearables and 4K Ultra HD televisions will help produce 1.5 percent year-over-year (YOY) growth in industry revenues.

The new DSC6000 family of Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) oscillators from Microchip provides semiconductor-grade reliability and frequency stability over a wide temperature range. Clock reference applications include wearables, IoT and under-bonnet automotive products, allowing less than half the current consumption of the lowest-power quartz-based oscillators. The new devices are able to withstand x500 more shock and x5 more vibration than a quartz oscillator.
