Telit Launches WE310G4 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Module with BLE 5.0

Wireless connectivity specialists Telit announced the launch of their new WE310G4 module, which enables manufacturers to add dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 5.0 connectivity quickly and cost-effectively to their products. Based on Realtek's Ameba system on chip (SoC), the WE310G4 is ideal for a wide variety of embedded designs, including smart home devices and appliances, wearables, fitness trackers, smart city sensors, aftermarket telematics and industrial automation sensors.

Patent Review: A New Electro Acoustic Drive System With Sensor from Fraunhofer

In this article, James Croft dives in an interesting loudspeaker patent (US20150146910A1), awarded May 28, 2015 to multiple inventors from the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft Institute in Munich, Germany. The patent describes a diaphragm drive system with a conventional electromagnetic motor and corrective piezoelectric elements that drive the suspension from a sensor that detects the nonlinearity and provides the corrective signal. Amphenol Corporation, the global provider of high-technology interconnect, antenna and sensor solutions, continues its expansion and now announced that it has completed the planned acquisition of MTS Systems Corporation. MTS is the company that had acquired PCB Group in 2016, becoming the owner of PCB Piezotronics and Larson Davis. Amphenol will now sell the test and simulation business of MTS to ITW (Illinois Tool Works), as agreed in December 2020.
