This collaboration reduces development time and simplifies integration, introducing flexible software-defined audio features that can adapt to centralized architectures, delivering high-fidelity sound without the complications and costs associated with additional hardware.
The Dimensity Auto Cockpit SoCs are designed from the ground-up for the automotive market, combining a state-of-the-art Armv9-A CPU with deep learning capabilities, hardware-accelerated NVIDIA DLA to run LLMs at the edge, providing multiple audio DSPs for speech and audio processing, and support for AI-based audio enhancement. MediaTek also supports multiple virtual machines simultaneously, including but not limited to QNX, Linux, and Android Auto.
MediaTek is actively expanding its footprint in the automotive sector with the Dimensity Auto Cockpit platform, designed for flexible, high-performance infotainment solutions. "By merging our proven tuning technology and modular system suite with MediaTek's robust infotainment computing capabilities, this partnership is poised to provide effective answers to the challenges faced in the automotive audio landscape," Arkamys states in the announcement.
With SoundStage, Arkamys audio experts have developed a modular, scalable, and embedded media enhancement software solution for OEMs. SoundStage is specifically tuned for each vehicle model and provides high-quality in-car audio optimization tools to enhance the sound experience of all the vehicle's passengers. The audio processing suite includes new spatialization and bass management algorithms developed by Arkamys, ensuring a perfectly balanced distribution of sound regardless of the seat occupied in the vehicle.
