Hisense U7H and U8H Series TVs Receive WiSA SoundSend Certification

WiSA LLC, a subsidiary of WiSA Technologies, Inc., announced that Hisense’s 2022 U7H and U8H Series TVs have earned WiSA SoundSend Certification. In 2021, the WiSA SoundSend Certification program was launched to ensure effortless and simple connection and interoperability between smart TVs and the WiSA SoundSend wireless audio transmitter. The Hisense U7H and U8H received the certified status after they successfully tested to work with WiSA’s SoundSend.

Worldwide Wearable Shipments Will Reach 344 Million by the End of 2022

Demand for wearables and accessories slowed during 2021 due to economic and geopolitical factors impacting consumer's priorities. Despite this decline, global technology intelligence firm ABI Research expects continuous growth until 2027. More than 300 million wearables devices were shipped by the end of 2021 and will reach around 344 million by the end of this year. Additionally, more than 650 million of these devices are expected to be shipped worldwide by 2027, a CAGR of 13.2% between 2022 and 2027.

Qobuz, the Hi-Res streaming and download platform is releasing new, exclusive-to-Qobuz, 24-bit tracks mixed in THX Spatial Audio. Songs from Circuit Des Yeux, Anat Cohen, and Dinosaur Jr. are now available to anyone listening from a device of their choice over any headphones. THX Spatial Audio uses MPEG-H mixing tools and advanced signal processing to transform conventional stereo audio into unique listening experiences. THX describes it as "out of the head" sound, simulating a recording studio or an authentic acoustic environment.

Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) has developed and started the release of samples of the AK7749, an in-vehicle DSP-integrated CODEC with an automatic mode switching function to support voice applications, and a full range of digital and analog input/output interfaces. The AK7749 is a RAM based, highly integrated, programmable digital signal processor, with 4 channel ADCs, 2 channel DACs, a MIC gain amplifier, a line-out amplifier, 4 channel SRCs, and digital audio I/F, all in a space saving small 48-pin QFN package.
