B&C Speakers Finalizes Eminence Acquisition in the US and China

B&C Speakers, one of the leading loudspeaker manufacturers for professional audio applications, based in Florence, Italy, announced that it has acquired 100% of Kentucky-based Eminence Speaker, LLC, the manufacturer of professional audio and guitar amplification loudspeakers, and its manufacturing facilities in Dongguan, China. According to B&C Speakers' CEO Lorenzo Coppini, this acquisition will strengthen the company's global reach, while "creating an opportunity to relaunch and enhance an iconic American brand."

HEDD Audio Announces HEDDphone TWO, Lighter and Refined AMT Headphones

HEDD Audio, the Berlin-based manufacturer of studio monitors and headphones, announced the launch of the successor to the original HEDDphone ONE Air Motion Transformer (AMT) headphones, introduced in 2019. The new HEDDphone TWO are powered by advances in AMT technology and informed by profound user feedback. The company calls it "a turbo-charged evolution." The open-back over-ear driver, headband and strap system were completely redesigned, resulting in a 25% weight reduction of the headphones to 550g in total.

At IFA 2023, Jabra introduced two premium true wireless earbud models, both seating at the top of the market in terms of technology and features. Both offer Spatial Sound with Dolby Atmos, Advanced ANC, and optimal battery life. Very similar in design to previous Jabra models, the Elite 8 Active are tested to be the toughest earbuds with military standard for ruggedized electronics, with IP68 rating and Jabra ShakeGrip, while the Elite 10 are the new top tier earbuds optimized for Dolby Atmos with Dolby Head Tracking.

The trend was already visible with Shokz, Oladance, and a bunch of other brands promoting the virtues of open ear designs using air conduction as the new panacea for personal audio. And at IFA 2023 we saw a deluge of "air conduction" product launches from every Chinese bulk exhibitor and even a few new brands. Although Harman was not at the show to be seen, it promoted an external event to showcase new affordable products and inevitably also its first-ever true wireless open-ear earbuds, the JBL Soundgear Sense.
