Astro Spatial Audio and Adamson Systems Engineering bring 3D Audio to Prolight+Sound 2017

A special collaboration between Astro Spatial Audio (ASA) and Adamson Systems Engineering will allow visitors to experience true object-based 3D audio for live entertainment at Prolight+Sound 2017 (Frankfurt, Germany - April 4-7). Taking place in Hall 3.1, on booth H14, the two companies will combine their market-leading technologies to host a series of demonstrations using Adamson Point 8 enclosures driven by ASA’s recently launched SARA II Premium Rendering Engine.

NEXO Releases NeMo 2.0 System Management Software for Mac and iOS

NEXO released a new version of its NeMo system management software, making it available for the first time on the macOS platform and introducing premium features and functionality for operational control of NEXO systems. The software allows remote control and monitoring of amplifiers over a wireless network. It also makes it easier to exploit advanced sensing functions in the PNEXO NXAMP controller-amplifiers which help protect loudspeaker cabinets.

As previously announced, Audirvana Plus, the desktop music player for macOS, has released the latest version of its software which now includes integrated MQA audio technology. The MQA Core decoder, contained within the new Audirvana Plus 3 player, enables the first origami ‘unfold’ and also authenticates the file using a blue or green light to confirm that the sound is identical to that of the source material.
