Kii Audio Announces Kii THREE Pro and Kii CONTROL for Studio Applications

Kii Audio has announced the arrival of its first ‘mini main monitor system’, which basically adapts the advanced concept of the original Kii THREE speakers for professional environments. Designed to deal with the real acoustic challenges of the modern studio, the new Kii THREE Pro studio monitors take advantage of all the controlled dispersion technology and linear reproduction, adding the new Kii CONTROL hardware remote, which transforms the Kii THREE into a complete studio system.
 
Following the successful introduction of the original Kii THREE monitors, which audioXpress reviewed in January 2017, Kii Audio has announced the introduction of the Kii THREE Pro, compact monitor configuration. The Kii THREE Pro provides the same unrivalled speaker performance of the original Kii THREE in a compact package, achieved through Active Wave Focusing technology, controlling the sound dispersion and directing the sound exactly where users need it.

This perfect small-scale speaker offers a linear frequency response, and faultless impulse response and phase coherence; sharing 1.500 watts per speaker divided across six drivers into a compact and lightweight enclosure.
 
Intelligent DSP processing provides the Kii THREE Pro with a cardioid sound dispersion pattern down to the low-mid and bass frequencies, which otherwise can only be achieved by wide baffles, big cabinets or soffit mounting speakers (infinite baffle design). In studios with less than perfect acoustics, this offers a degree of performance monitoring never experienced before.

Kii CONTROL
Alongside the Kii THREE Pro, Kii Audio have developed Kii CONTROL, transforming the Kii THREE into a complete reproduction system of the highest sonic quality and usability.
 
Kii CONTROL offers three additional inputs: Coax SPDIF, Optical TOSLINK and USB (up to PCM 24/384kHz and DSD64/DSD128 on USB). Easy to connect, users are able to activate the inputs with touch switches around the volume knob, and change effortlessly to the existing hardware input on the speaker itself, either as analog or digital input. The Kii CONTROL is connected and powered through the included CAT6 cable, so no additional power supply is necessary, and it also boasts lossless volume control, mute and dim functions, latency switching, user-preset options, and a range of advanced settings accessed via the OLED display.
