USound and Minami Sign Partnership to Facilitate Collaboration with Top-Tier Brands

USound, the MEMS speakers pioneer from Austria, announced a partnership with Minami Acoustics Limited, the renowned Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) that helps support some of the most recognizable global brands in headphones, earphones, headsets, and hearing aids. Together, the two companies will further facilitate the adoption of USound’s patented MEMS speaker technology by leading brands.

Given the projection that its Powerfoyle solar-cell material is having in the consumer electronics industry, particularly following its presence at CES 2024, Exeger is increasing its cooperation with established OEM/ODMs in order to accelerate product introduction in the market for many top-tier brands. Leveraging its expertise working with major CE brands, particularly for wireless headphones and earbuds, acoustic specialists and original design manufacturer (ODM), Minami will now assist customers and businesses looking to implement solar cell technology into their products.

Luxshare-ICT, one of the largest manufacturers and supplier for global consumer electronics brands, and Austrian MEMS pioneer USound have developed Gemini, an innovative hybrid audio module that offers numerous advantages through its 2-way audio technology combining a MEMS and a dynamic driver coaxially aligned. The solution not only enhances sound quality but allows effective active noise cancellation (ANC) applications with MEMS drivers.

USound has confirmed that it has received a €10 million Euros minority growth investment supporting product ramp-up for its various MEMS speaker models and accelerating production and design-ins of next-generation true wireless earbuds and hearables. The announcement reflects the company's momentum as first product implementations are now reaching the market, enabling the fast-growing MEMS loudspeaker company to gain further recognition from consumers.

Taiwan-based Airoha Technology announced that its new series of Bluetooth audio chips have successfully completed the latest Bluetooth Low Energy Audio Qualification Process and will be "widely available" to manufacturers in the first half of 2023. Airoha is one of the most important suppliers of chips for true wireless earbuds and the LE Audio certification is also an important R&D achievement for its Bluetooth audio R&D team consisted of hundreds of engineers.

USound, the developer and manufacturer of micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) speakers for personal devices and wearables, announced an expanded partnership with AT&S Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik, a manufacturer of high-end printed circuit boards and integrated circuit substrates, to manufacture USound’s new fully integrated audio module for True Wireless Earbuds (TWS). The new audio modules can be 75% smaller and 85% lighter, with improved sound quality, compared to current TWS solutions.

Bragi and Cotron are taking hearables to the next level by combining Bragi's Software Suite with Cotron's development capabilities and ODM factory, creating an efficient end-to-end solution for audio brands. As Bragi continues to expand on its licensing efforts, the Taiwan-based ODM solutions company will be able to combine it's own expertise in ANC and true wireless design and production with a platform that combines the software expertise from Bragi.
