Soundcore Launches Liberty 3 Pro True Wireless Earbuds Featuring Coaxial Drivers and Auto-Adapting ANC

Soundcore, Anker Innovations' premium audio brand, announced the Liberty 3 Pro, the latest true wireless model in its flagship Liberty lineup. The Liberty 3 Pro features HearID ANC that automatically monitors outside ambient noise levels in real time as well as in-ear pressure to tailor noise cancellation to match the situation. The earbuds also combine improved coaxial drivers with personalized sound profiles.

Jabra announced three new true wireless earbuds – the Elite 7 Pro, Elite 7 Active and Elite 3. With each model tailored for specific uses, Jabra improves call performance and battery life with adjustable ANC in the new Elite 7 Pro, offers new Jabra ShakeGrip coating technology for active lifestyles with the Elite 7 Active, and offers improved sound and call quality at the lowest ever price point for the brand in the Elite 3.

Bang & Olufsen expanded its range of true wireless earbuds with the introduction of Beoplay EQ with Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation. The design is not pitched as any technological breakthrough in ANC, or a "something-killer," but as an effective solution for eliminating surrounding noise and allowing total immersion in Bang & Olufsen’s signature sound. The refined design combines the latest specs with precise, powerful sound, and a secure fit.

Bowers & Wilkins thinks that most currently available true wireless stereo (TWS) designs represent a compromise choice, one that trades sound quality for wireless convenience. “Bowers & Wilkins has always insisted this issue would need to be addressed before the company could consider launching its own TWS products,” they state. And that's what they did with their new PI7 and PI5 true wireless earbuds, where audio quality was the design focus, while adding some cool differentiating features.

Qualcomm Technologies International, unveiled the Qualcomm QCC305x SoCs, designed specifically to help brands differentiate across a range of tiers in the very fast-moving truly wireless earbud category. The new SoCs are designed to meet demand for advanced wireless audio use cases, and enable end-to-end support for the new Bluetooth LE Audio standard. The QCC305x series also adds support for ultra-low-power digital ANC technology, Qualcomm Adaptive ANC, Qualcomm TrueWireless Mirroring, and wake word activated voice assistants.

IFA 2020, in Berlin, Germany, was "the first major global fair for consumer and home electronics" to physically take place since the pandemic. This limited push to promote a trade show again, lead some major consumer electronics companies and brands to converge their announcements in the week from September 1-5, with showcases streamed to the world live from the Berlin exhibition grounds. Some announcements were relevant to the audio industry and included the Qualcomm press conference, which used the opportunity to launch its latest Adaptive ANC platform, an important step towards smart true wireless earbuds.

Qualcomm Technologies International, a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, launched Qualcomm Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) a new technology designed to deliver an improved user experience for earbuds with integrated ANC. The Adaptive ANC technology is designed to enhance user comfort and provide consistent sound quality for true wireless earbuds by adapting its performance to meet variations in how an earbud fits in a user’s ear, and adapt in real-time to changes in fit as the earbuds are in use.
