The Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA) announced a global collaboration with rapidly growing TV brand Hisense in which the brand’s premier 2021 TV models have been certified WiSA Ready. This allows for a quick and simple connection to all WiSA USB transmitters and WiSA Certified Speakers to create immersive audio home cinema systems. Hisense joins other WiSA member TV brands, including LG, Skyworth, Bang & Olufsen, and more who are implementing integrated wireless technology into meaningful product lines and launches.

Consumer electronics consortium Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA), announced that SoundSend, the Association's first branded product, is now available at $179 US MSRP. This means that consumer electronic brands can now offer wireless multichannel surround sound 5.1 systems hard bundled with SoundSend or co-promote with premium audio speakers or TVs. The new "hockey puck" device is truly a strategic product. It's a big deal for the promotion of the technology and for making WiSA truly mainstream.

Hisense Joins WiSA Association TV Brand Member List

The Wireless Speaker and Audio Association (WiSA) founded by Summit Wireless Technologies, announced that Hisense will join the Association’s more than 60 leading consumer electronics brands, as it plans to continue to expand its retail presence in North America. Hisense is a leading consumer electronics and home appliances company that sells globally and is the number 1 TV brand in China. Adding WiSA Ready TVs will mean that Hisense will reinforce the number of systems that are “ready” to transmit wireless audio to WiSA Certified speakers.

WiSA unveiled its WiSA SoundSend audio transmitter, the Association’s first branded product to hit the market since its inception. The SoundSend is an HDMI (or optical)-connected transmitter designed to make wireless multichannel audio accessible in minutes to nearly every smart TV. SoundSend allows for instant transmission of smart TV content to WiSA Certified speakers for a true cinema sound experience at home without speaker wires. The product will be available for purchase in November of 2020 and will retail for $179 US MSRP.
