Sonarworks Expands Headphone Profiles for Reference 4 and Partners with Focusrite

Sonarworks just announced the latest additions to their list of supported headphone models for Reference 4, the sound calibration software. The new models include offerings from major brands like AKG, Focusrite, Pioneer, and Sennheiser, many of which have been added due to user feedback and bring the total count of supported headphone models to over 200 and counting. Meanwhile, Sonarworks is offering Focusrite users a free software license of Reference 4 Headphone Edition.

Audio professionals will benefit from new Resolve 16 features, including immersive 3D audio features for Dolby Atmos, MPEG-H and SMPTE ST 2098 metadata support, new Elastic Wave capabilities, improved overview of automation parameters, enhanced loudness monitoring, new plugins and measurement tools, and a new foley sound library.

V-Control Pro from Neyrinck Reconnects Legacy Control Surfaces to modern DAWs

Neyrinck, a San Francisco-based software company specializing in music technology solutions, has introduced V-Control Pro version 2.3 which now supports the control of Pro Tools 11, 12, or 2018 software from legacy controllers like Pro Control or Control 24. The updated control application is able to support up to 32 faders in banks, to access an unlimited number of channels or tracks. The V-Control Pro application runs on the Pro Tools computer (Mac or PC) and uses a direct Ethernet connection to the legacy control surfaces.
