Rycote Offers Expanded Range of Professional Microphones

In a surprise announcement for many audio recordists - and certainly for many manufacturers of professional microphones - British brand Rycote announced the launch of its own high-end range of professional microphones, designed for the film production, sport broadcast and field recording applications. The range includes condenser pencil-type microphones and hypercardioid shotguns, which Rycote now expanded with the BD-10, a new bi-directional microphone, and a long shotgun design named HC-35.

IK Multimedia released iRig Pro Quattro I/O, an extremely well designed 4-in/2-out field recording audio and MIDI interface for musicians and content creators. With 24-bit/96kHz A/D conversion and a MEMS mic onboard for instant recording, the new professional mobile interface from the Italian company is ready to deliver broadcast-quality results anywhere and anytime. CEntrance announced that the MixerFace R4B professional field recording solution is now shipping. The company's mobile recording interface now comes with a pair of XY stereo microphones, PivotMics PM1, and a built-in 24-bit SD card recorder, creating a completely stand-alone, high-end recording device. Australian microphone manufacturer RØDE Microphones announced a series of new products and upgrades for some of its most popular products and accessories, starting with the introduction of the new HS2 headset microphone. Focusing on solutions for video production and presentation, which include RØDE’s new Stereo VideoMic Pro now featuring a Rycote Lyre suspension system, the new products are shipping now and will be displayed during the IBC 2016 show in Amsterdam.
