Amadeus Spins Off Immersive Sound Brand Holophonix Creating Eponymous Startup

Holophonix is now a separate entity from French loudspeaker manufacturer Amadeus, and has a new Director, Frédéric Biessy. Created in 2017 by Gaëtan Byk in coordination with leading French research institutions CNRS and IRCAM, Holophonix has now become its own legal entity with dedicated resources, and is seeking capital with a first round of financing to accelerate the company’s growth and product deployment. Holophonix is now a startup with impressive breakthroughs in hardware and software design and adoption throughout the world.

StormAudio is inviting all attendees to an historical moment for the company at CEDIA Expo 2023. StormAudio will debut a complete immersive multichannel installation connected using the AES67 Audio-over-IP (AoIP) standard and using exclusively digital signals throughout. With six different demonstrations at the Denver show, StormAudio will also be updating its range of immersive sound processors with demonstrations of the latest receiver Fusion 20 and the ISP Evo sound processor.

Swedish digital audio pioneer Dirac and the team of self-proclaimed obsessed audio experts at AudioControl announced that the brand's latest line of receivers and processors will include Dirac Live Bass Control for a more immersive home theater experience in any space. The collaboration between the two companies has resulted in expanding the Dirac Live Bass Control software to the new Concert Series receivers and Maestro Series AV processors, part of AudioControl's high end home audio range.

The creative minds at miniDSP are not stopping, and now that the COVID-19 situation has calmed down in China and production is back, the company is resuming its hectic release schedule and announced two new products available for pre-order on the company's webshop. The first will please anyone involved in spatial audio and content production and is a fully integrated First Order Ambisonic (FOA) microphone. The second will please those still forced to stay at home, and is the SHD Power, a 120W per channel low-distortion power amplifier with Dirac Live room correction.

During the InfoComm 2018 show, in Las Vegas, Bose Professional broadened its ControlSpace commercial sound processors line with six new DSP models and three attractive digital wall controllers. At the show, Bose Professional also launched the Business Music System Designer (BMSD), a new online interactive design tool to aid audio integrators in specifying the right Bose Professional sound products in commercial audio applications.
