Audio Precision APx500 Flex Now Supports 16 ASIO Channels at No Extra Cost

Audio Precision announced a significant upgrade to its APx audio analyzer series. Originally introduced in 2019 as their most affordable way to perform audio measurements, APx500 Flex now includes support for up to 16 ASIO channels. The APx500 Flex audio analyzer solution authorizes Audio Precision’s APx500 measurement software to operate independently of an AP hardware analyzer, with licensing controlled by an APx500 Flex Key.

PSB Speakers, Sonical and MQA Announce Partnership to Create Next-Generation Headphones

PSB Speakers, together with hearables start-up Sonical and audio codecs specialists MQA, announced a partnership that intends to define a new category of high-resolution audio headphones. The collaboration is aimed at creating true hifi headphones and smart earbuds, combining MQA's SCL6 high resolution wireless audio transmission and Sonical’s CosmOS platform. Planned for release under the PSB Speakers brand by Q1 2024, the resulting products will be the first headphones to feature Sonical’s ear computing platform, enabling a variety of apps and software upgrades.

Introduced in November 2022, the Sound Devices A20-Nexus true diversity wireless receiver pushed beyond the capabilities in the category by offering advanced features like a 470-1525 MHz tuning range with SpectraBand, remote control of transmitters via NexLink, real time spectrum analysis, and a full eight channels in a half-rack unit. The A20-Nexus receiver is also unique in its ability to be increased to 12 or 16 receiver channels with the new A20-Nexus 4-Channel Expansion License, which is now available for purchase or for rent.
