Pico Technology Launches Its First 1 GHz Mixed-Signal Scope With Active Probes

Pico Technology announced a further development of its PicoScope 6000E Series mixed-signal oscilloscopes (MSOs) with the launch of four new 4-channel models, each of which can be configured with 16 optional digital channels. With bandwidths of 750 MHz or 1 GHz, 8-bit or 8/10/12-bit Flexible Resolution and up to 4 GS deep capture memory, these products enhance the existing PicoScope 6000E portfolio, adding to the 350 MHz and 500 MHz models that were introduced in 2020.

Microchip Releases First IEEE 802.3bt PoE to USB Type-C Power and Data Adaptor

Microchip announced a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) to USB-C adaptor with the highest power capability that converts both power and data while offering up to 60W USB output power via an Ethernet cable supported by PoE infrastructure. This solution simplifies installation by reducing dependency on AC infrastructure, and enables extending the installation reach of USB Type-C devices while supporting a variety of input PoE standards up to 90W and output power up to 60W.

It is commonly said that, like Miller capacitance, the capacitor’s value in this circuit is “multiplied” by the transistor gain (β) to lower the filter’s pole frequency. Microchip announced a new reference design using its MCP1012 high voltage auxiliary AC-DC controller, demonstrating the ability to remove the independent bias power supply in many applications. The MCP1012 offline auxiliary device enables the system to transfer control of the power and duty cycle to a secondary MCU. The reference design includes a patented isolation technique called Inde-Flux transformer technology being licensed to Würth Elektronik eiSos.

Panasonic Corporation announced that it will start mass production of a high-speed gate driver (AN34092B) optimized for driving its GaN power transistor X-GaN in November 2016. The company will also start mass production of two types of X-GaN (PGA26E07BA and PGA26E19BA) and provide solutions in combination with high-speed gate drivers. The high-speed gate driver for X-GaN power transistors contributes to space and energy savings in power conversion applications.
