Periodic Audio Embraces Direct Sales Model and Drops IEM Prices

Periodic Audio, the IEM company created in 2016 by consumer-electronics industry veterans Dan Wiggins, Mike Kim, Zeke Burgess, and Ben Webster, announced that the company will move to a direct sales model and as a result will pass distribution cost-savings to its customers. Effectively immediately, Periodic Audio announced a significant price reduction for its line of V3 in-ear monitors launched earlier in 2022.

Audeze announced the opening of their new Taiwan subsidiary, Audeze Taiwan. Located in the heart of Taiwan, Taipei city, the new office will focus as an R&D center for technical innovations, while increasing product distribution efficiency and customer experience for Audeze’s Taiwan-based users and dealers. Additionally, Audeze Taiwan will also serve as a hub for Audeze’s distribution of other premium audio manufacturers, including Burson Audio and Periodic Audio.

Periodic Audio is launching its new flagship in-ear headphones during the fifth annual CanJam SoCal show, June 22-23. Known for its use of periodic elements to create unique drivers with beryllium, titanium or a magnesium/aluminum alloy, Periodic Audio pushes the envelope with the new Carbon (C) IEMs, featuring diaphragms made from lab-grown diamonds. According to the company, the Carbon design provides the ultimate statement in resolution — with incredibly low distortion — below that of any other IEM on the market today.

Periodic Audio will celebrate their first anniversary at CanJam NYC 2018 (17-18 February 2018) with new product introductions and some headphone measurement education. After a highly successful first year that saw launches of their trio of in-ear monitor (IEM) headphones -the Be, Ti, and Mg - Periodic Audio returns to the Big Apple to launch the first amplifier product, the Nickel (Ni) portable amplifier, initially previewed at RMAF 2017, and which is now available at an MSRP of $299.

Periodic Audio announced the world premiere of the Nickel Portable Amplifier, at the CanJam section of the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest 2017, working with Periodic Audio’s trio of in-ear monitor (IEM) headphones: Be, Ti, and Mg. The Nickel amplifier is designed to provide nearly-unlimited clean power for nearly every headphone in an extremely compact and portable package, supplying 150 mW into 50 Ohms, 250 mW into 32 Ohms, and 270 mW into 16 Ohms, and stable into an 8 Ohm load.

CanJam NYC 2017 took place on February 4-5, 2017, in the fabulous Broadway Ballroom at the New York Marriott Marquis, right in the heart of Times Square. Over 2000 earphone and headphone fanatics swarmed over the 55 table-top booths (showing about 100 brands).
