Orchard Audio PecanPi DAC Receives Roon Tested Certification

Orchard Audio announced that its versatile PecanPi DAC has now received Roon Tested certification from Roon Labs. This is an important achievement for Leonid (Leo) Ayzenshtat's company, which until know has been widely recognized by the excellent quality of it's products and designs, but was lacking the support of a major software player. With the Roon certification, more users will be encouraged to try The PecanPi DAC, knowing they will be able to use Roon, with its superior music browsing experience and rich metadata.

Audioengine was always recognized for its cool compact portable speakers with wireless audio features that brought a hi-fidelity feeling back to today's lifestyles, at reasonable prices. The company also sold a separate B-Fi Bluetooth transmitter so users could connect their existing sources wirelessly. Now Audioengine stepped up the design and launched the B-FI Wi-Fi, a multiroom music streamer device with AirPlay 2 that is just the upgrade needed to get any stereo high-fidelity music systems streaming into the whole home.

Cambridge Audio announced that its flagship Edge NQ and CXN (V2) network audio streamers now have Roon’s high-resolution streaming and music management technology built right in. A software update is now available for the Edge NQ and CXN (V2) featuring Roon Ready. Once these products have been updated, Roon will discover them on the network, deliver the highest possible quality audio, and even allow volume control right from the Roon user interface.

Chord Electronics introduced five new products at The Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2020, including the new ULTIMA PRE 2 preamp, ULTIMA 5 and ULTIMA 6 stereo power amps, plus the new 2go streamer/server and 2yu digital interface. Making its European debut, the new 2go streamer/server adds both Ethernet and wireless streaming, plus 4 TB of microSD card storage to Chord's Hugo 2 DAC/pre/headphone amp. The 2yu digital interface turns the 2go device into a standalone streamer.

Short after the introduction of the AX series of hi-fi separates, Cambridge Audio surprised with the unveiling of the CX Series 2, a major update to its CX range of hi-fi components. These are two new integrated amplifiers - the CXA61 and CXA81 - featuring exactly the right technology updates, such as the DAC chips and wireless technologies, while keeping prices affordable. Both available from October 2019.
