iZ Technology Launches iZ RADAR STUDIO: RADAR and Pro Tools in One Box

iZ Technology Corporation is announcing its new RADAR studio (patent pending) at the 2015 NAMM Show. The Canadian company says the new solution combines the best of the RADAR multi-track recorder and (Avid’s) Pro Tools in one box, allowing for tracking and mixing with a single, integrated, best-in-class audio appliance. An exciting combination of hardware and software which will certainly be the talk of the show in Anaheim.

Dutch company Cymatic Audio introduced the uTrack 24, a universal hardware recorder / player / interface in 19" format, designed for people who want to do high-quality recordings without the need of a computer. The uTrack 24 also turns into a powerful and comprehensive audio interface when used under OS X, Windows and iOS and Cymatic promises the uTrack 24 will be able to playback standard MIDI data.

Expanding on previous concepts in digital mixing, the all-new Mackie DL32R Digital Live Sound Mixer delivers complete wireless control of a powerful 32-channel digital mixing platform. The solution also allows control over dynamics and recording from a simple professional I/O rackmount design and features USB direct-to-disk recording and playback.

Sound Devices made the headlines during the 2014 NAB Show in Las Vegas when its first-ever audio-only rack-mounted recorder, with an impressive 64 channels of Dante and MADI was introduced. Now that the 970 is shipping, the company also announced the launch of a dedicated brand for its video products – Video Devices.

Steinberg announced the forthcoming release of Nuendo 6.5 in the third quarter of 2014. The new point update for Nuendo post and audio production software adds refinements and new features to better serve the demands brought to post-production engineers, including integration with Yamaha’s Nuage system. According to Steinberg, "6.5 streamlines many areas of the software, comes with several new signal processors and has a heavy focus on its ADR taker system.”
