AudioControl Launches 5-Channel 1300 Watt Car Audio Amplifiers

Announced earlier in 2021, AudioControl launched two new high-power 5-channel amplifiers capable of driving the front, rear and subwoofer channels. Having all five channels housed within a single chassis enhances installation efficiency, providing 12-volt specialists with solutions that deliver the features and performance consumers demand. Available with or without onboard DSP delivering 1300 Watts total system power from a single chassis, AudioControl’s new 5-channel amps are ideal for complete aftermarket systems or OEM upgrade applications.

McIntosh continues to make 2020 a year to remember in the brand's history, with a succession of new product launches that renews and expands its vast catalog. And the luxury audio brand is placing a renewed focus on the home entertainment and home theater categories, now reinforced with two new exciting products: the MX100 A/V Processor and MI347 7-Channel Amplifier. As McIntosh explains, the MX100 and MI347 represent a streamlined approach to McIntosh's home theater product offerings.

NAD Electronics unveiled another new and unique Masters Series product. The M28 is a seven-channel high performance amplifier that can serve as a powerful engine for a state-of-the-art multi-channel system for music or home theatre. And, like the recently launched M33, this reference multi-channel amplifier features Purifi’s Eigentakt (self-clocking) amplifier technology. The M28 ($4999 U.S. MSRP) is available now to order and will begin shipping in August, 2020.

Pro Audio Technology (PRO) announced it is now shipping the ALC-3316, Amplified Loudspeaker Controller along with new companion Configurator software. First seen at CEDIA Expo 2019, the ALC-3316 provides 8-balanced analog audio inputs and 9-channels of amplification for up to 1,800W of power, and includes built-in matrix bass management, 160 parametric EQ filters, and loudspeaker processing. The software interface makes the deployment of surround sound or distributed audio systems easy by integrating intelligent predefined DSP filters.

Parasound has introduced a 12-channel, 2-ohm stable power amplifier for commercial and residential audio systems installers with flexible power options for stereo audio in six rooms (zones), and up to 24 individual speakers. Uniquely, the Parasound ZoneMaster ZM 12 drives two channels at 120 watts each, 8 ohms, with the remaining 10 channels at 60 watts each. With 4-ohm speakers typical of architectural audio, the ratings are 150 and 100 watts respectively. There are also A and B speaker outputs for each channel. With this upgraded performance and features, the ZM 12 represents a significant advance over its 12 x 50W predecessor, the ZM 1250.
