Follow the very successful show at the Los Angeles Convention Center, CineGear Expo announced the LA'22 Technical Achievement Award recipients. CineGear’s team of expert judges, representing multiple industry disciplines, examined each product submitted at the June CineGear Expo in Los Angeles. After weeks of extensive deliberation, they have selected worthy new motion picture gear in 12 product categories.

DropLabs, a company from Los Angeles, California, announced its latest sonic-sensory footwear designed to transform the way people experience digital entertainment. DropLabs sound-activated footwear uses low-frequency information to extend entertainment experiences. The Triple Black Edition looks like standard sneakers or training shoes, but inside they are equipped with sound generating technology and Bluetooth, now adding enhanced audio controls, multicolor LEDs plus a few surprises.

SoundFi is a new "in-theater" mobile app designed to provide 3D binaural audio on headphones, and their new technology is being showcased during the theatrical release of Columbia Pictures' The Equalizer 2 at participating cinemas in LA.

Following the announcement by the UHD Alliance of the Final Specification for Ultra HD Premium content, at CES 2016, the organization announced the “Ultra HD Premium” Logo and Certification Licensing for Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Players, coinciding with the first releases of UHD Blu-Ray Discs, which should also support high dynamic range (HDR) images and immersive audio experiences.
