iZotope Introduces RX 11 Audio Processing Software

iZotope, now a part of Native Instruments, announced RX 11, the latest version of the famous audio repair and forensics suite, now featuring new machine learning tools for tackling noise, and loudness management tools for music streaming. The new software update combines the power of visual-based spectral editing with new intelligent real-time dialogue isolation and music repair features, plus new purpose-built tools for fixing and polishing audio.

The May 2021 release now runs natively on Apple M1 systems and includes new tools such as a Loudness Meter with presets for Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Netflix, and other services, and Strip Silence, allowing to identify and remove silent or inactive regions in recorded clips.

The Institut für Rundfunktechnik (IRT), the central research and development institute of the public broadcasters in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and DSPECIALISTS GmbH, a company specialized in the development and distribution of products for digital audio signal processing and measurement technology, have established a cooperation agreement focused on high-quality loudness control. DSPECIALISTS already ported the IRT loudness adjustment algorithm to its HARVEY signal processing platform.
