Mymanu CLIK S All-In-One Truly Wireless Earbuds Unveiled at MWC 2019

British start-up Mymanu is determined to embrace new challenges, again, with the launch of what the company calls “the most affordable, All-In-One truly wireless earbuds” with extended features. Unveiled at MWC 2019, in Barcelona and targeted to cost 79$ on pre-order, the new Mymanu CLIK S earbuds have been designed with fitness, music and travel lovers in mind. And as with previous initiatives from Mymanu, the focus continues to be the use of TWS earbuds for language translation, supported with a connected smartphone and app.

The unveiling of the new Starkey Livio AI platform was a major event for Starkey Hearing Technologies, with the US-based company multiple times mentioning the market disruption caused by the iPhone on the communications market, and declaring its ambition to do the same with smart hearing. Starkey intends to reivent "both the hearing experience and the hearing aid,” markets with Livio AI, “the world’s first Healthable hearing aid to utilize integrated sensors and artificial intelligence and the first device to track physical activity and cognitive health as measured by hearing aid use in social situations.

From the company behind Travis the Translator, the Travis Blue wireless speaker, and the Volareo music smart speaker, comes a new generation of language translation device. Travis Touch launched in Indiegogo and promises to support 100+ languages in a new more sophisticated device. Having raised 1.8 million USD on their first device by selling 110,000 units globally, Travis now managed to reach its goal of raising 50,000 USD in less than 16 minutes with Travis Touch.

Listen Technologies celebrated it's 20th anniversary at InfoComm 2018. The company introduced its newest range of Audio Everywhere solutions, the first public demonstration in the United States since the audio-over-Wi-Fi product was announced, following the acquisition of technology from ExXothermic. The company also showcased new accessories for its wireless, two-way communication product, ListenTALK, and announced the debut of new C Series hearing loop amplifiers, in partnership with Ampetronic.

After Travis the Translator, Dutch startup Travis is now promoting the Travis Blue - a translating speaker that takes the original experience of a portable (pocket-sized) dedicated device into something that might appeal to wider gamut of users, like... a Bluetooth speaker. The Travis Blue pairs with a smartphone app, features a single button to translate, accepts voice commands to change language, supports wireless charging, and comes in 3 different colors.

Google is all-in in its determination to compete with Amazon, Apple and everyone else on the hardware front. On the same day, Google unveiled its second-generation family of consumer hardware products, including new Pixel 2 smartphones, Google Home Mini and Max smart speakers, an all-new Pixelbook tablet/laptop, Google Pixel Buds wireless earbuds, and more. No longer releasing "reference hardware" for its software ecosystem, Google is apparently determined to emulate Apple's successful strategy.

German company Bragi anticipated the announcement of Apple’s headphone-jack free iPhone 7 with an announcement of its own. While some audio companies are targeting Lightning connectivity and the benefits of direct digital connection, Bragi decided to make the best use of its technology already developed for The Dash true wireless earbuds to create a new simpler model - The Headphone - focusing on compatibility with any Bluetooth device… including the iPhone.
