Audiotonix Acquires Sonible

Audiotonix has announced the acquisition of Sonible, an Austrian hardware and software company working with assistive artificial intelligence -based processing solutions for professional audio. Sonible has developed plug-ins that have been recognized as a new generation of intelligent audio processing production tools, with uniquely intuitive usability and workflow-enhancing features at their core. Sonible also developed smart hardware that was adopted by many live sound engineers and was recommended by KLANG:technologies, acquired by DiGiCo in 2018.

KLANG:technologies, the monitoring technology company that is now part of DiGiCo, announced a new hardware mixing processor and interface, designed to increase systems flexibility. Following the successful integration of its software and control with DiGiCo consoles, KLANG has created the KLANG:konductor, its most powerful and versatile immersive in-ear mixing processor to date, delivering 128 input channels and 16 immersive mixes and flexible I/O via 3 DMI card slots.

Design for a challenging environment in live production, DiGiCo announced the new Quantum225 mixing console. Following on from the massive Quantum 338 introduced at NAMM 2020, the 225 brings the power of the latest Quantum platform with its three large-scale seventh generation FPGAs in a compact and robust surface. The working area is dominated by a high-brightness 17-inch multitouch screen, with a left area that can be used to mount a laptop, an extra screen or a dedicated controller.

The 2020 NAMM Show was the opportunity for DiGiCo to reveal the latest in its new generation of Quantum digital consoles, the expanded Quantum 5 and the all-new Quantum 338. Like the Quantum 7, the new consoles represent a dramatic leap forward in power and connectivity, with impressive new design features and enhancements. DiGiCo also announced the new DMI-KLANG at NAMM 2020, an immersive in-ear mixing expansion that can be mounted directly into DiGiCo consoles, equipped with DMI slots.

With its renewed commitment to sound reinforcement and expanded roster of related presentations, the Audio Engineering Society’s 147th Pro Audio Convention in New York City will be a valuable experience for any live audio production engineer, from novice students to seasoned professionals. And on stand 629 of the Javits Center’s exhibition hall, DiGiCo will be taking advantage of the gathering to share its latest exciting software enhancements and product offerings with those in attendance.

DiGiCo confirmed the acquisition of German company KLANG:technologies as a key new addition to the Audiotonix family that already includes leading audio brands Allen & Heath, Calrec, DiGiGrid, Solid State Logic and DiGiCo. The deal, which was concluded in early December 2018, brings a key new addition to the Audiotonix group of companies, comprising four of the leading brands in studio, live sound and broadcast audio mixing consoles, and adding a completely new category, with the addition of a pioneering company in the field of personal monitoring and immersive 3D audio solutions.

L-Acoustics continues its campaign to change the live sound industry with its new approach to multi-source immersive sound reinforcement systems, since it launched its L-ISA technology in 2017. Because L-ISA demands a complete multi-layer sound design solution, the company now announced new partnerships with Avid, Blacktrax, DiGiCo and KLANG:technologies. L-Acoustics will promote L-ISA demonstrations at Prolight+Sound 2018 with these companies.
