Live sound is transitioning to immersive audio configurations, from large scale sound reinforcement systems, all the way to hotel ballroom events. Meyer Sound is accelerating development of its own software tools to support those applications, working on direct integration of its Spacemap Go spatial sound design and live mixing tool with mixing console and DAW manufacturers. Already available for Avid Venue consoles, Spacemap Go is now integrated with Solid State Logic’s Live consoles, as well as plugins for all major DAW applications.

NIO ET7 Comes Standard with Dolby Atmos In-Car Audio Experience

NIO, a smart electric vehicle company in China, announced that Dolby Atmos will come standard on all its NIO ET7s, the smart flagship electric sedan of the company. The latest car model from NIO, the vehicle comes with a 7.1.4 immersive sound system and the ability to decode and render Dolby Atmos sources, including from music streaming services. CODA Audio Releases Space Hub Immersive Audio Processor

German pro audio manufacturer CODA Audio is unveiling its own immersive audio processor, completing a system approach to the format in performance events. The Space Hub was designed for low latency processing of up to 128 objects x 128 output channels, using the 3D panning algorithms selectable per object within its Space software. The new solution, presented at the Tonmeistertagung 2021 conference in Dusseldorf, also explores the advantages of CODA's linear–phase loudspeaker designs.
