Audeze New Maxwell Planar Magnetic Wireless Gaming Headphones Support LE Audio and LC3plus

Audeze announced Maxwell, a new ultra-low-latency wireless headset with class-leading 80+ hours of battery life, which comes with a Dolby Atmos license for select compatible platforms. With the new model, Audeze introduced a new upgraded, retro-looking earcup design for its planar magnetic drivers. The new design is also its ugliest product ever, but at least it already supports Bluetooth LE Audio, adds support for the LC3plus codec, and offers high-resolution audio over USB-C.

Microchip announced a fully-certified, Bluetooth 5-compliant System-on-Chip (SoC) with Sony’s LDAC audio codec, extending availability of the high-resolution audio technology into mass market Bluetooth wireless products. Headphone manufacturer Audeze already implemented the new IS2064GM-0L3 SoC in its award-winning Mobius gaming headphones to create the best possible immersive Bluetooth audio experience today’s consumers demand.

Amarra for TIDAL is the ultimate music playback solution for streaming audio, and will be available from the Sonic Studio web site for US$39.95, while the free Amarra Remote app will be available from the iTunes Music Store. The new player was developed in conjunction with TIDAL’s engineers.
