AAVAA Headband Accessibility Developer’s Kit To Advance Brain-Computer Interface Applications

AAVAA, a startup company based in Montreal, Canada, has announced the introduction of its brain-computer interface (BCI) technology in the form of the AAVAA Headband Accessibility Developer’s Kit. The software and headband hardware is able to detect and recognize intentional control movements, such as blinks and clicks of a tongue, paving the way for individuals with disabilities and those with mobility, speech and hearing impairments to gain control over their devices.

Alango Technologies announced that OEMs and ODMs will now be able to license the same technologies that power its BeHear Bluetooth assistive hearing headsets. The audio and voice embedded DSP software specialist firm is now licensing its set of software technologies for full-featured customer-fit hearing personalization and amplification, enabling the rapid development of advanced hearables in new designs and form-factors.

Following earlier announcements on the technology developed in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Media Technology, Sennheiser has now released new, updated versions of both its MobileConnect and CinemaConnect apps, allowing users to adjust not only the volume but also the amplification and dynamic range of high- and low-frequency audio content.
