GN Hearing Expands Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast Support

Building on the existing ReSound Nexia and Beltone Serene platform, the GN Group announced its smallest wireless In-the-Canal (ITC) hearing aid in a non-rechargeable design, and a new wireless rechargeable CROS Behind-the-Ear (BTE) solution, both of which connect to Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast audio sources. In addition, GN is now offering the world's first remote microphone with Auracast, which also acts as an Auracast Assistant.

Part of the Infinio family with several Bluetooth-enabled models that still don't support LE Audio, is the Audéo Sphere Infinio, said to be the world's first hearing aid with a dedicated real-time AI chip for speech-from-noise separation. Powered by a new Phonak ERA processor, and a dedicated NPU, the new Audéo Sphere Infinio hearing-aids are able to enhance speech understanding from any direction.

Swiss embedded electronics designer, Arendi, has unveiled a Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast broadcast audio TV streamer. The Arendi Auracast TV Streamer employs Nordic Semiconductor's dual core nRF5340 SoC and nRF21540 RF front-end module (FEM) to deliver low power, long range, reliable wireless connectivity with improved audio quality. The streamer provides stereo audio to both Bluetooth LE Audio or Auracast-enabled headphones, speakers, or hearing aids.
