Knowles Corporation will unveil its latest state-of-the-art audio technologies at CES 2025, fresh from the announcement of the sale of its MEMS microphones business, and now focusing more on balanced armature and sensors. CES attendees are invited to visit Knowles at the Venetian Resort, Toscana Suite #3801, to explore groundbreaking audio innovations across hearing health, true wireless stereo (TWS), open wearable stereo (OWS), and audiophile applications.
Driven by a commitment to delivering premium audio experiences, Knowles balanced armature (BA) drivers are precision-engineered to provide superior sound quality for a range of consumer and professional applications. Knowles will demo the latest BAs that are powering the premium sound in many recently launched designs, including the JLab Epic Sport ANC 3 and the Breggz ZOHN-1 custom earbuds.
At CES 2025 Knowles will also detail its approach to hearing health and Over-the-Counter hearing (OTC) aids where Knowles BAs are already delivering premium audio for those requiring hearing assistance, providing clarity and comfort in OTC hearing aids. In the vibrant True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds segment, where Knowles is finding increasing acceptance for its products, the company will demonstrate the latest in high-resolution audio and personalized listening with its top of the range BA drivers. Knowles will also showcase complete hybrid reference design kits from well-known ODM manufacturers, including Fujikon, Grandson, OBO Pro2, and Risuntek. These reference designs highlight the flexibility and ease of integrating Knowles solutions across different price points and feature sets.
Meeting the trend towards Open Wearable Stereo (OWS) designs, Knowles revealed that it is working with ODM manufacturers to develop hybrid reference designs that leverage Knowles BAs. These designs are ideal for sports earbuds and other smart audio applications that allow environmental sounds to pass through for natural sound transparency. At CES 2025, multiple companies are announcing new cutting-edge designs in this form-factor, some of which Knowles will also showcase.
In the available demonstrations, Knowles will also explain how multi-way BA drivers are finely tuned to provide clear, consistent sound for in-ear monitors and TWS devices, offering vivid audio experiences for discerning listeners. At CES 2025, Knowles will demonstrate a trio of multi-way driver models that enhance the signature sound design with different combinations of BAs from the Knowles portfolio. Hybrid solutions for gaming, which allow players to benefit from increased spatial and timing perception will also be demonstrated.
Attendees will be also able to explore tailored listening experiences and enhanced hearing protection with sound personalization algorithms from companies such as Mimi Technologies and Audiodo. These algorithms will be demonstrated with Knowles reference designs as well as commercial products.
"Our mission is to redefine what's possible in audio, from personalized hearing solutions to premium TWS products," says Jon Kiachian, President of MedTech and Specialty Audio at Knowles. "At CES 2025, we will showcase innovations designed to empower manufacturers to deliver extraordinary audio experiences to their customers."
Knowles demonstrations at CES 2025 will be located at The Venetian, Toscana Suite #3801. Being an extremely busy show, visitors are encouraged to schedule a meeting with a Knowles representative ahead of the show.
