Harman Professional Solutions to Acquire FLUX Software Engineering

Harman Professional Solutions entered into an agreement to acquire French company FLUX Software Engineering (FLUX::), pioneers in immersive audio production, audio processing plug-in design, and audio analysis. The acquisition will broaden Harman Professional's offerings in live production, installed audio, and more. Notable solutions from FLUX:: includes the powerful SPAT Revolution real-time immersive audio mixing engine, and analyzer for real-time spatial and loudness monitoring.

The recently released SPAT Revolution software (version 23.08) now supports the new Audio-Technica BP3600 immersive audio microphone, allowing for the capture and mixing of a truly three dimensional audio image. According to FLUX::Immersive, the update of its object and perceptual immersive mixing software is now Apple Silicon ARM Native compatible, and introduces loads of new features and optimization updates.

While Merging Technologies is now under the umbrella of the Sennheiser group and part of Neumann, the Swiss company continues to pursue its activities in the multiple markets that its products address. The high resolution audio pioneer will be present at ISE 2023 focusing on immersive audio and workflow, including its collaboration with FLUX:: Immersive, and introducing the latest updates to its Ovation media server and multimedia control system.

French company FLUX:: Immersive and long-term partner Merging Technologies exhibited at ISE 2022 together to demonstrate how simple content can be prepared for live events. The increased popularity of immersive audio content in all its forms is driving the need to repurpose or create programs for use in a host of different environments. Making this process simple for the creative community is a goal shared by the two companies.
