Audinate Announces New Capabilities for Dante Ultimo Chipsets

Audinate announced new enhancements to the Dante Ultimo low-channel chipsets and firmware, now supporting daisy chaining, new control enhancements, and bit depth support. Ultimo now supports 16-, 24- and 32-bit PCM audio, selected globally or per-channel as needed.

Announced in September 2014, Sennheiser now confirms the availability of its Dante card for the EM 9046 receiver, enabling the top-of-the-range Digital 9000 wireless microphone system to be integrated into Dante audio-over-IP networks. Sennheiser also updated its Digital 9000 firmware and the new Wireless Systems Manager 4.2 software with a set of optimized monitoring functions.

Denon and Marantz announced a unique upgrade offer to bring three-dimensional audio format Auro-3D to their recently introduced Premium AV Receivers. Expected to be available in December, a firmware upgrade will further enhance the feature set of the highly-acclaimed Denon AVR-X5200W and the AVR-X4100W models and Marantz SR7009 and AV7702 receiver and pre-amp / processor.

Yamaha has released software updates for its CL and QL series digital mixing consoles, as well as updated versions of its StageMix iPad apps for QL, CL, M7CL and LS9 consoles. All firmware and app updates are available as free downloads from the company’s website as well as from Apple’s iTunes store.

Short after releasing the expanded 32-channel Qu-32, Allen & Heath releases a firmware update for its Qu Series of compact digital mixers, expanding functionalities in all three existing models. The new v1.5 firmware introduces DCA Groups, custom channel naming and expanded options for studio recording applications.
