Bowers & Wilkins 800 Series Signature Loudspeakers Are Affordable Luxury

Bowers & Wilkins made a familiar announcement. The company found another way to refine the formula for something that doesn't necessarily needs to change, but needs to be constantly revived to keep the brand and product awareness alive. This time, B&W announced the new 801 D4 Signature and the 805 D4 Signature speakers, further refining and advancing a very successful design into the Ultimate affordable luxury.

This Test Bench combines three new 25mm high-frequency transducers from German brand BlieSMa into a single characterization: the BlieSMa T25S-6 Silk Dome, the BlieSMa T25B-6 Beryllium Dome, and the BlieSMa T25D-6 Diamond Dome. All three tweeters appear to be built on the same platform, but optimized for each diaphragm material, and all three share pretty much the same feature set. British loudspeaker company Bowers & Wilkins, famed for bringing its knowledge and acoustic experience to the automotive industry, has extended its successful partnership with BMW, with the launch of the iX, the new luxury electric SAV from BMW. The Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System is now fitted in the iX, delivering what the Brande defines as "the most advanced sound quality found in a car." The details about the new Bowers & Wilkins 800 Series Diamond speaker range have been unveiled for some time to global distribution channels and the trade press, and they weren't supposed to become public until September 1. The new flagship Bowers & Wilkins D4 loudspeaker range introduces an all-new industrial design, updated drivers, and sets even higher standards.

After 25 years of designing, crafting and manufacturing high-end audio components, the founders of Audia Flight in Italy couldn't resist the temptation to design their own speakers. Following an original design created for testing their own audio amplifier circuits, which after ten years remains in use in their lab, the company decided it was time to create a new high end loudspeaker brand, Alare. SEAS just announced that it is launching the new E0101-04 Dark Diamond tweeter, in direct response to market interest. With its beautifully precision machined, black anodized aluminum faceplate, which is horn loaded for a smooth frequency response, maximum stability and smooth appearance, the Dark Diamond essentially follows the improvements implemented to the renowned White Diamond tweeter, which the company states, represent "the ultimate sound reproduction quality at high frequencies, flawless, clean, uncolored and natural."

First unveiled in 2015 when Bowers & Wilkins introduced its new 800 Series Diamond, the flagship 800 D3 model was promised for Q2 2016. The “best loudspeaker Bowers & Wilkins has ever produced”, the 800 D3 combines all the ground-breaking technologies developed for the new series and is the ultimate conclusion of the concept originally introduced in 1979.
