In what promises to be one of the very first major trade-shows to return post-COVID-19, CEDIA Expo 2021 will signal a return to networking, CEDIA training, brand exposure, product launches, with safety front and center. The slogan for CEDIA Expo 2021 was also well chosen: Live Life Connected.

High End Show 2021 in Munich Is Now Fully Booked!

The organizer of the High End Show, the High End Society Service Gmbh, announced that the 2021 edition of the Munich show is now fully booked, even before the registration deadline at the end of March 2021! Scheduled to take place September 9-12, 2021, in combination with the newly announced International Parts+Supply (IPS) expansion, this seems to be now the very first International audio show to take place in 2021, even if global travel is expected to still be conditioned.

AVIXA Reschedules InfoComm Show to End of October 2021

The Audiovisual Integrated Experience Association (AVIXA), owner of the InfoComm tradeshow, issued a letter to the industry and its community confirming a postponement of the InfoComm 2021 Show from June to October 2021. Not exactly the best news for a lot of professionals and companies in the AV industry, but certainly not unexpected given the circumstances of the pandemic. The 2021 edition of InfoComm is scheduled to take place in Orlando, Florida.

While most analysts and market intelligence firms predicted significant declines in the first months of the COVID-19 global pandemic, it seems that the global consumer electronics sector did very well, given the circumstances. According to Strategy Analytics latest report Global Consumer Electronics Market Forecasts 2014-2024, consumer electronics revenues rose 7% in 2020, reaching $358.5Bn. Home computers, tablets and games consoles led the way.

In October 2020, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), AVIXA, and CEDIA commissioned a study targeting AV professionals to evaluate the industry's appetite for conferences and events following COVID-19. The research, completed before news of a COVID-19 vaccine, was carried out to gauge interest in face-to-face, digital and hybrid event formats. The results show that 98% of the audience missed attending in-person AV industry events.
