PMC Impresses at High End 2018 with New fenestria Flagship Loudspeaker

In what is its most significant product launch for the high-end consumer market, at High End 2018, PMC Speakers (The Professional Monitor Company Limited) introduced its new Fact loudspeaker range and launched fenestria, a flagship speaker which also represents a completely new approach from the famous British brand. Detailing every single aspect of the new design, and explaining all its technology innovations, the company impressed visitors and the specialized press at the Munich show.

Bayz Audio from Budapest, Hungary, will be premiering Curante, an omnidirectional, full range loudspeaker, at the 2018 High End show in Munich. The Curante represents a complete re-thinking of traditional speakers by utilizing the patented Bay Radial Speaker (BRS), a unique “radial tweeter” design by Zoltán Bay, CEO and Chief Engineer, in collaboration with Frank Nielsen of Danesian Audio, and András Voloscsuk of Composite Project Kft.

Among the many audio exhibitors at ISE 2017, there were several interesting proposals in terms of speaker design for the commercial and residential integration market. One of the highlights was the presentation of a new company and brand. Architettura Sonora (AS) is part of the B&C Speakers Group, one of the most prestigious professional transducer manufacturers in the world. Now targeting, new horizons in installation sound, combining architectural materials with cutting-edge designs.

In this Test Bench, Voice Coil characterizes Dayton Audio’s new 4.5” diameter carbon fiber cone midwoofer, the CF120-4. This new midbass driver from Dayton Audio features a pin-cushion style four-spoke cast-aluminum frame. For the cone assembly, Dayton Audio chose a rather stiff curved profile woven carbon fiber cone with a 1.13” diameter convex woven carbon fiber dust cap. Visual Art Speakers will be presenting the next generation Ogeeg Model 3 art speakers at the Las Vegas Convention Center (South Hall Booth 20562) during CES 2017. Featuring the world’s first all carbon fiber planar drivers, the Ogeeg Model 3 is "a paragon of efficiency, great sound and custom art presentation," the company states. The new planar speaker will be available with built-in tube amplifier and wireless connectivity.

Bridging the price gap between far more costly premium products and lesser performing budget models, the C-Major turntable from European Audio Team breaks new ground for vinyl enthusiasts. This new entry level offering from E.A.T. represents a completely new price point for the brand, satisfying those who would like to purchase turntables with greater performance and sophistication than that which is available in the budget sector, but with a price point below the widely-acclaimed C-Sharp – E.A.T.’s most successful turntable to date.

Beyma introduced several new products this year at the Prolight+Sound show in Frankfurt. Additions to the company’s catalogue include new compression drivers in neodymium and ferrite versions, low frequency speakers with new optimized pressed steel frame designs for very diverse applications and a new high quality pleated diaphragm tweeter. The new shallow mid frequency range was another highlight at Beyma’s booth in Frankfurt.
