Warwick Acoustics Ready to Scale Electroacoustic Panel Technology for In-Car Audio

Following successful R&D and product development phases, Warwick Acoustics has entered 2023 with an accelerating program to commercialize its electroacoustic panel technology, focusing on the automotive industry. Warwick Acoustics is hiring and investing in facilities to support the substantial commercial pipeline under development. Warwick's electroAcoustic panels, already proven in high-end headphones, are now ready for car audio applications.

Infineon Technologies broadened its CoolGaN series with two new devices: the CoolGaN 400 V and the CoolGaN 600 V. Gallium nitride (GaN) offers fundamental advantages over silicon, with outstanding specific dynamic on-state resistance and smaller capacitances compared to silicon MOSFETs. The new CoolGaN 400 V device will appeal to audio product designers looking for a premium solution for home or professional Class D amplifiers.

Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation (AKM) made two new product announcements focusing on 4-channel applications. The AK5704EN 4-channel 32-bit A/D audio converter was developed for high-quality low-power multi-microphone recording applications. Its built-in microphone amplifier and power supply make it an ideal solution for conference systems, microphone array systems or smart speakers. The also new AK7739VQ/AK7737VQ audio and voice processors are multicore units, designed for car audio, car navigation systems, and wireless speakers applications.
