Bluacs Joins Audio Foundry and Licenses Its Fresh Air Technology to Tymphany

Audio Foundry, the collaborative automotive audio technology platform, announced Bluacs as its newest member. The leading speaker research company from Australia is widely recognized in the industry for its Fresh Air Speaker technology, applicable to woofer and subwoofer designs that leverage the full car cabin volume. As part of this collaboration, Tymphany will be licensing Bluacs' technologies to advance in-vehicle sound experiences.

Bose announced a new offering from its portfolio of Active Sound Management solutions for cars: Bose QuietComfort Road Noise Control (RNC). Now available to global vehicle manufacturers, it joins Bose Engine Harmonic Cancellation (EHC) and Bose Engine Harmonic Enhancement (EHE) to form a comprehensive and effective set of technologies for managing sound inside cars, trucks, and SUVs. Today helping to turn traveling by car a more comfortable experience, and anticipating the sound management needs of tomorrow's fully electric vehicles.

A recent IHS Markit survey finds that premium audio from recognized brands remains an important consideration when acquiring a new vehicle. Branded audio system volumes in new vehicles are expected to grow from just under 12.4 million units globally in 2018 to 14.7 million units in 2023, according to new vehicle production forecasts for these systems from the business information provider research.
