Audioscenic and Tectonic Promote Adaptive Beam Steering Soundbar Demonstration

Audioscenic Limited, a UK-based company exploring 3D audio technology, and Tectonic Audio Labs, the renown manufacturer of audio solutions using Bending Wave technology, will demonstrate a highly innovative living room soundbar at CES 2022. The evolved speaker concept features Audioscenic’s adaptive beam steering and Tectonic Balanced Mode Radiator (BMR) speaker technologies, aiming at product implementations for home audio, gaming, and home cinema.

Tectonic Audio Labs, the provider of audio solutions using bending wave technology, announced the appointment of Susan Cashen to serve as its independent board member effective January 1, 2021. With the appointment, the Woodinville, WA-based company is hoping to add strategic marketing and operational business experience to its Board of Directors. Tectonic Audio Labs continues to pursue the untapped potential for its Balanced Mode Radiators drivers in emerging consumer applications, from voice-enabled smart speakers to unified communication products and soundbars.

During InfoComm 2019, Tectonic Audio Labs will introduce the DML500 flat panel speaker and the company’s first front firing passive subwoofer, the LS-118, which together promises to “completely alter the way we hear sound.” The DML500 is Tectonic’s next generation distributed mode loudspeaker featuring bending wave technology and the evolution of Tectonic's PL Series of loudspeakers, in a lighter, thinner and easier to mount solution, that improves directivity and intelligibility.

Tectonic Audio Labs announced the consolidation of their assets with Tectonic Elements and launched a new website to highlight the company's consolidated portfolio of patented flat speaker technologies. Following the recent appointment of a new President and CEO, this is the final step in the merger of the two companies and will streamline the three primary areas of focus: smart speaker technology, professional audio products, and OEM audio component sales for IoT devices, automotive and other high-fidelity solutions.

Rembrandt Laboratories is promoting its patent-pending speaker design Model V with the line "New Audio Technology With Sound So Beautiful, It Moves Listeners to Tears of Joy," claiming a level of realism that feels like the artist is in the room. Effectively, the outside of the Model V, in stained poplar tone wood, looks like one those early tube radios, but there's nothing vintage inside this active speaker, using a distributed mode planar driver with proprietary multiple internal tuned resonate chambers and bass reflex port.
