Renkus-Heinz has announced the appointment of Alberto Mantovani to the position of Engineering Manager. Mantovani, a senior engineer with more than 30 years of expertise in the technology sector, began his career in Italy in the 1980s, developing complex embedded systems for factory automation. He held high-level Sales and Technical Marketing positions with Rockwell Semiconductors Systems in Europe before moving to California in 1997, where he has co-founded two high-tech enterprises.

New Organizational Structure for Musikmesse and Prolight+Sound Shows

Following criticism from exhibitors, the press and visitors regarding mixed results in the 2016 editions of the Prolight+Sound and Musikmesse shows, Messe Frankfurt announced a new organizational structure for optimum interlinkage of the two shows. Michael Biwer, previously responsible for Prolight+Sound, is now responsible for key account management and the strategic planning of both events, which will return to a more coordinate model in 2017.

DPA Microphones announced that Kalle Hvidt Nielsen will become the company’s new chief executive officer from September 1, 2016. At this time, Nielsen will succeed interim CEO, Thorsten Reuber, who has managed the company since January 25, 2016. Nielsen comes to DPA Microphones from Topsil Semiconductor Materials A/S, where he has held the CEO position since 2011. Previously, Nielsen occupied CEO positions at Bang & Olufsen A/S and Brüel & Kjær Sound & Vibration Measurement A/S.
