This project is based on a previous audioXpress article: “A Solid-State Single-Ended Power Amp” by Ed Simon, published in the April 2006 issue. Ron Tipton was deeply impressed with this amplifier project which used only five transistors per channel, two of them being current sources. NEXO released a new version of its NeMo system management software, making it available for the first time on the macOS platform and introducing premium features and functionality for operational control of NEXO systems. The software allows remote control and monitoring of amplifiers over a wireless network. It also makes it easier to exploit advanced sensing functions in the PNEXO NXAMP controller-amplifiers which help protect loudspeaker cabinets.

St. Paul, MN, -based Innovox Audio has selected Powersoft amplification modules for use in its Flex Synergy modular A/V loudspeakers and HLA Family Hybrid Line Arrays. Innovox, which specializes in loudspeakers for visual display support applications as well as houses of worship and small to midsize theaters and auditoriums, went with Powersoft D-Cell 504 and DigiMod modules for their products due to their superior sound quality, compact form factor, and advanced DSP integration.

Following several show previews, including NAMM 2017 and ISE 2017, Hafler (a division of Radial Engineering) confirmed it will be launching the Hafler CI series in spring 2017. The CI series range of multi-channel amplifiers was designed for the custom installation market, featuring true class-AB circuitry, with individual level controls on each channel, Fault-Safe protection, energy saving auto shut-off and turn on, and OmniPort expansion modules, including a Dante digital network card.
