Described by the Danish luxury audio brand as an home speaker made to move, the Beosound Level is unique in every aspect. First, it doesn't look like a speaker - but B&O has done that before. Second, its portable and able to adjust its sound to compensate for any position or room. Third, it's a connected speaker supporting all the latest technologies, but its connectivity module can be replaced in the future.

"Change the Way You Listen to Music" is Sony's pitch for CES 2021, reinforcing the company's past research efforts in spatial audio and specifically its 360 Reality Audio and Immersive Audio Enhancement technologies. The concept was so far implemented in binaural mode with headphones, but Sony demonstrated some concepts with speakers able to generate "ambient room-filling sound" since CES 2019. With users spending more time at home, Sony decided it was time to launch the new 360 Reality Audio wireless speakers, model SRS-RA5000 and SRS-RA3000.

Danish electronics pioneer Bang & Olufsen has chosen Genelec SAM monitors to equip its new laboratory, which allows researchers at B&O’s Struer headquarters to create hyper-accurate simulations of how loudspeakers will sound in any given environment. The immersive structure uses the calibration features of Genelec professional monitors to create a reliable research environment where the company tests acoustic fingerprints of a space and the relationship of room effects with accurate reproduction.
