Tascam Launches US-HR Series of High-Resolution USB Audio Interfaces

With orders for simple USB audio interfaces with one or two microphone preamps skyrocketing due to home use requirements, Tascam decided to launch an update to its existing US series of audio interfaces, highlighting features that will be better appreciated by today's market, such as iOS compatibility, USB Type C connections, and the support for 24-bit up to 192kHz high-resolution audio. The bundled software also highlights usage in podcasting and webcasting, with zero-latency direct monitoring function (mono or stereo for each input pair).

Announced at NAMM 2020 in January and now with the initial shipment already sold out, Tascam reported that its second wave of Model 12 mixers are on the way and will be available via authorized in-store and authorized online retailers soon. Just in time for the compact Model 12 availability, Tascam has introduced a dedicated carry bag for the unit, the CS-Model 12, allowing users to leverage the mixer features in live sound and podcast applications, recording in the field, and basically carry their project studio everywhere they go.

Tascam Announces USB Audio Interface Driver Version 4.0 for Windows

Tascam has announced a significant update to its USB Audio Interface Driver for Windows - Version 4.0. Available now as a free update, Version 4.0 introduces display adjustments of the software window according to the screen resolution, fixes bugs and stability issues and is compatible with six Tascam audio interface models. The new driver also improves buffer size to be as low as four samples, lowering the latency. Meanwhile, Tascam also announced support for SMPTE Standard ST 2110 in its Dante Audio Converters range.
