Soundking Group Announces Strategic Relocation of Cadac Production to UK

Cadac, the famous British brand acquired by the Soundking Group in 2009, confirmed the strategic decision to relocate manufacturing of its new CM-System digital mixing consoles back to the United Kingdom. The move marks a significant transition from its previous China production base under the Soundking Group. The reenergized company says the return to UK manufacturing addresses evolving cost structures of global distribution, supply timelines and customer support agility.

Revealed at the AES convention in Los Angeles, September 2016, Cadac Holdings is now shipping its new CDC seven digital mixing console, which builds still further on the heritage of the flagship CDC eight and success of the medium format CDC six models. The new CDC Seven offers all of the power and operational simplicity of the CDC six with the enhanced production capabilities of an expanded dual 23.5-inch 16:9 touch screens and fader count with increased I/O. Cadac is also launching new V4.0 software for the series.

Carlsbro Holdings, the owner of the revived Studiomaster brand announced it will be launching digiLiVE, a new ultra-compact hybrid digital audio mixer marrying the advantages of hardware with a touch-screen control surface and remote tablet operation. The new mixer will be introduced at the Musikmesse and Prolight+Sound shows in Frankfurt together with several new products.

A small iceberg has been turned into the most unlikely of gig venues in the Greenland Sea, as UK metal band The Defiled (Nuclear Blast Records) performed on top of the ice platform for the Jägermeister Ice Cold Gig – which sees artists put to the test as they perform in unconventional conditions. British company Studiomaster supplied a “berg suitable” PA for the world’s first ever gig, performed in sub-zero temperatures.
