Merging Technologies has gained a justifiable reputation for supplying enabling tools for AES67/Ravenna AoIP networks that have more recently been incorporated into the ST2110 standards. German AoIP specialists, DirectOut announced new products during its first online event, the DirectOut Insider. One of the highlights is a completely new hardware solution, the compact EXBOX.RAV, designed to migrate baseband audio to IP. The core of this new converter is running on DirectOut’s well-proven Ravenna (AES67, ST 2110-30 / -31) audio-over-IP implementation and supports NMOS for stream discovery (IS-04) and connection management (IS-05).
